Service Description

Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) is a profoundly transformative and rejuvinating practice of guided relaxation and meditation to positively impact your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Whilst being deeply relaxing, it actually offers so much more to our overall health and wellbeing, and is now backed by science in the recognition of it's many benefits. Many scientific studies have shown that yoga nidra is an effective tool for reducing anxiety and stress, and having a positive impact on mental health. It's also been noted to enhance creativity, improve sleep quality and memory, improve cognitive function, and to promote positive physiological changes All these benefits are received by simply getting into a comfortable supported position, either lying down (on mat, in bed) or sitting in a relaxed way - and simply allow yourself to be guided into deeper and deeper levels of rejuvinating rest. This makes it a highly accessible form of yoga and meditation practice Committing to a regular practice of consciously slowing down, and restorative rest can have a profound impact in benefitting your overall wellbeing and how you deal with day to day life - it's been a lifesaver for me since I first started practicing it in 2008 Each session is 45 minutes, offered live on zoom, and recordings to enhance your home practice. You'll begin with 15 minutes of nervous system regulation tools that allow your whole system to slow down, dropping you into the parasympathetic nervous system response. These include somatic release practices, energy practices and breathwork to awaken deep states of calm in body and mind, helping to prepare your whole system to drop much more deeply and readily into the state of yoga nidra In addition, you'll experience a variety of 30 minute yoga nidra practices from different traditions so you can experiment with what works best for you All sessions are left open ended so you can use them as a tool for getting to sleep

Full refunds are offered on cancellations up to 72 hours before the class or course starts If you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, you may transfer your booking to someone else to attend in your place, by emailing Julie ahead of the event start date to arrange.
